Picture perfect

When we concentrate on the black, one can see some sort of animal or any other kind of form, (depending on the level of craziness you find yourself in). When one focus rather on the picture/story, one sees peace, tranquility and endless possibilities. Why then do we choose to rather look at all the negative shapes formed by our mind, instead of looking at the beauty in front of us?
